This flanged linear bearing is a UU model, which means it has a seal on both ends, which help to reduce any dirt or grime from entering into the bearing and damaging or clogging up the balls. This ensures a longer lifespan, while the flange helps to secure and stabilise the part via the four mounting points on the corners of the square.
For optimal performance, use white lithium grease, tri-flow or 3 in 1 machine oil for lubrication. Do not use dry lubricants, PTFE-based greases, or thick high temp greases like wheel bearing grease. These might stop the bearing balls from rotating. Spray lubricants are also not recommended.
