Description
Electronic Projects need a power supply and in some cases, you might need to step up or boost the voltage. For example, step up the voltage from a 4xAA battery to a 12V to power an Arduino via a DC jack input. According to the XL6009 datasheet, the maximum output current is 4A, but from our test, it can deliver 3A at peak. We recommend you maintain it at around the maximum 2A output current. It will need an additional heat sink if the output current is more than 2A continuously.
Since it is a switching module (SMPS, Switch Module Power Supply) and switching at 400KHz, it offers high power efficiency, maximum of 92%.
